Gluten-free and prep-ahead friendly. This Slow Cooker Beef and Broccoli recipe is on our repeat list.
After the pressure cooker, the slow cooker is our second BFF. We love being able to prep things the night before, then come home to dinner that has basically cooked itself. This tasty Slow Cooker Beef and Broccoli recipe is no different. Who knows, you might find yourself replacing that Friday night take-out routine.
We prep this the night before, store in a container (or the slow cooker insert if there’s room in the fridge). All that needs to be done in the morning is pour into the heating element, select the time, and walk away. That delicious smell, when you walk in the front door, is the next best thing to coming home to a clean house, at least for us!
Pick your cooker
There are two competing slow cookers in our house: a classic, no-frills version from Rival, and the Instant Pot, which conveniently has a slow cooker feature. Depending on how we’re feeling that day, either one does an excellent job of making a perfect Beef and Broccoli. Feel free to pick your favorite.
Mix and walk away.
Our Slow Cooker B&B is so incredibly simple to make. All you need to do is slice your steak, mince some garlic and ginger, then measure a few things into a bag or insert. Either start cooking that day, or store in the fridge. Cook on low for 6 hours, and that’s it. We even got super lazy and broke out the rice cooker. Now that’s a hands-off dinner!
The perfectly sweet and savory sauce, tender beef, loaded with broccoli, makes this B&B recipe you’ll be sure to break out over and over again. We hope your family loves this dish as much as ours does.
enjoy!
